The Catholic University for Independent Thinkers
The UD School of Ministry has been offering graduate education online since 2005. The same comprehensive curriculum, rigorous coursework, pastoral application, and community of learning which we've been fostering successfully for over 25 years in our classrooms in Irving and Rome are available to students through the online program. From the start, our commitment has been to provide the same "theological education for transformative service" for online students that we offer students in on campus classes.

Students with internet access can take a wide array of courses from anywhere in the world. The core courses required for all our master's degrees are offered online, and many electives are also available. Our fully accredited Master of Theological Studies degree can be completed entirely online.
Our approach to online education is unique. Here is what sets our online Master of Theological Studies degree, or any School of Ministry courses taken online, apart:
Master's studies in the MTS can be done entirely online. There are no residential or onsite attendance requirements. In addition, many of the other master's degree programs offered by the School of Ministry have online course offerings.
These online courses are offered by a regionally accredited, Catholic university.
Online master's degree courses offered by the School of Ministry are identical to the courses offered onsite. There is no "transcript difference" between students who take courses onsite or online.
Because the online and onsite courses are identical, students can do all courses online, all courses onsite, or they may choose to do some courses online and some onsite.
UD School of Ministry online classes are given by the same professors who teach onsite. Lectures, discussion groups and live tutorial chats are all led by a fully qualified professor, not by a teaching assistant. In UD School of Ministry online courses, the professor who writes the course teaches the course.
