Art history major Larisa Chavez '13 will watch her Catholic faith come to life through art history when she spends the summer as an intern for the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museum (Patron's Office). After departing in early June, Chavez will serve as a liaison to museum patrons, going on private tours with them, assisting the curators and helping with office administration.

The 72-hour Cor Challenge resulted in 678 total gifts--630 of which were from alumni--to the university and raised the Constantin College alumni participation rate from 13.97 percent to 16.57 percent. During the three days of peer-to-peer social media and online appeals from individual alumni and the Alumni Relations Office, alumni donated $70,303.75 to the Cor Fund.

Approximately 275 students will receive bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees on Sunday, May 19, during the University of Dallas' annual commencement ceremony for the undergraduate Constantin College of Liberal Arts, undergraduate College of Business, Braniff Graduate School of Liberal Arts and School of Ministry. Ernie Sadau, CEO of Catholic health ministry CHRISTUS Health, will address the graduates.

The College of Business has received a $100,000 gift from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous to create a Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) program beginning this fall. The fund will be managed by graduate and undergraduate economics and finance students, who will be responsible for all investment research and reporting.

On Wednesday, May 1, at 5 p.m. in Gorman Faculty Lounge, the Philosophy Department will celebrate this spring's publication of three new volumes in the Dallas Medieval Texts and Translations (DMTT) series and a new translation by Associate Professor Matthew Walz of Anselm's "Proslogion."
