SP15 Final Dinner in Rome

To begin final exams week, the students rode buses into the city for a final dinner in Rome. The evening included a final mass in Rome celebrated by Rome chaplain Msgr. Fucinaro at the church of San Martino ai Monti.

SP15 Galleria Borghese

For the last Art & Architecture visit of the semester the students visited the Galleria Borghese, a beautiful villa-turned-museum situated among the Borghese Gardens.

SP15 Dallas Volunteer Program

Every semester the Rome students have a chance to enrol in a one-credit course called the Dallas Volunteer Program in which the University of Dallas pairs with local schools to teach English to Italian students.

SP15 People & Places of the European Past

During the Rome semester the students have the opportunity to take a one-credit class called People and Places of the European Past. Each week features an exceptional individual who made an impact on Europe's history and often a class trip to a place in Rome significant to that person.

SP15 Northern Italy Trip

The final group trip of the Spring 2015 semester was to Northern Italy, including visits to Florence, Venice, and Bologna. The trip began with a bus ride to Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and home of renowned artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Dante, Donatello, and Michelangelo. Upon arrival, students joined faculty and staff for walking tours, which oriented students to the city and stopped at several major sites including Santa Maria Novella, San Lorenzo, Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), and the Ponte Vecchio.

SP15 Greece Trip

The Spring 2015 Rome class awoke bright and early on Friday, February 27 to start their 10 day adventure in Greece. The students were immersed in the rich history and beautiful architecture of Greece while visiting 8 cities.

SP15 Greek Olympics

The Spring 2015 Rome class participated in their own Greek Olympics on Thursday, February 26. The fun event helped kick off the class departure for Greece.

SP15 Roman Forum & Colosseum Art & Architecture Site Visit

Spring 2015 Art & Architecture students visited the Roman Forum and Colosseum on February 25. Professors lectured on site and student performed scenes from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar bringing Ancient Rome to life.

SP15 Art & Architecture Site Visit to the Palazzo Massimo

The Spring 2015 Art & Architecture class went on its first on-site visit to the Palazzo Massimo on February 11. The museum houses one of the world's most important collections of Classical art.

SP15 Perugia, Assisi, and Orvieto

Two weeks into the semester the Spring Romers visited three beautiful and influential Italian cities in the Umbria region. The weekend class trip began on Friday, January 30 with a stop in Perugia, followed by a few days in Assisi and ending with a visit to Orvieto on Sunday.

SP15 Nettuno Excursion & Wine Tasting

After the first full week of classes the Spring 2015 Rome class ended the week with an excursion to Nettuno and an evening wine tasting on campus hosted by Msgr. Fucinaro.

SP15 Rome Arrival

The Spring 2015 Rome class began their journey to the Eternal City on Saturday, January 17 with the arrival to their home for the next four months, the beautiful Due Santi Campus.
