Patrick Hughes, BA '18, isn't a typical college freshman. Rather than matriculating directly out of high school like the majority of UD's undergraduates, Hughes has a wealth of life experience under his belt, from the Marines to the Fort Worth Police Department. Additionally, he does something a bit unusual in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex: he raises wolves.

Braniff Graduate School Hosts First Interdisciplinary Shakespeare Conference

The Braniff Graduate School of Liberal Arts will host its first biennial interdisciplinary Shakespeare conference Oct. 24-25 on the UD campus. The conference, which is titled "Nothing Will Come of Nothing: The Wisdom of King Lear," will begin with a lecture by Timothy Burns, university professor of political science at Baylor University, and a dramatic reading of the play featuring one of North Texas' most highly regarded actors, Bruce DuBose, in the title role.
