What is financial aid?
Federal, state, institutional, and private fund(s) are used to assist eligible students in funding their education. Financial aid can be a combination of scholarships, grants, loans, waivers, and student employment. Scholarships and grants are considered “free money” that the student is not required to repay; however, loans and student employment are considered self-help aid. Most loans require repayment when a student becomes enrolled less than half time or graduates. Student employment includes both work-study positions and part-time employment positions, either on- or off-campus.

Braniff Salon Inspires Louise Cowan's Students Again

Huddled outside the front doors of SB Hall, an intimate group of UD alumni, students, professors and patrons gathered for an informal poetry reading of UD's own Louise Cowan's favorite poetry for this spring's Braniff Salon: "Celebrating the Legacy of Louise Cowan: Lyric Poetry and the Soul."

Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business

The University of Dallas announced that John R. Lee, current CEO of North American National Risk Services, will address graduates during its Spring graduate commencement for the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Irving Bible Church; and 148 graduates will cross the stage, turning from students into University of Dallas alumni.
