The Catholic University for Independent Thinkers
Getting ready to start your first semester at UD? Here are a few things to take a look at before Orientation.
New 'confirmed'* students will receive a letter directing them to a web page containing information on additional forms required by the Office of Student Life. Some forms pertain to the basic necessities while other forms assist with a smoother transition to college life. Questions about the forms may be directed via e-mail HERE or by a phone call to 972-721-5323. (*'Confirmed' students are applicants who have been accepted at UD and who have 'confirmed' they will attend UD by sending in the $400 General Deposit.)
This online program will later be available to new students in late July. A direct link will be provided from the New Student Forms web page when available. A mass email will also be sent to new students alerting them to the deadline and will also contain a direct link to the program.
Information about the Residence Halls, housing policies, and Residence Life is available from these web pages.
Laundry rooms are located in each residence hall. Residents are automatically charged a 'Laundry Fee' with the 'Room Fee' so there is no cost at the machines. Students must provide their own laundry detergent.
All degree-seeking full-time undergraduate students (except international students with F1 visa status) are automatically enrolled in a student health insurance plan. Additional information is available HERE.
All campus residents are required to participate in the meal plan. New students may opt for either the 19 meals per week plan or the 14 meals per week plan. For more information click HERE.
