UD offers students a chance to compete with students from other universities and colleges. The University is a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) as part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III. The UD Campus Ministry office welcomes students of all faith traditions to participate as fully as possible in all prayer and programming activities.
For your convenience and protection, Campus Safety officers are on duty 24 hours per day. These officers provide physical security, fire protection and prevention, emergency first aid, safety programs and inspections, and investigate and enforce violations of the Code of Student Conduct and criminal offenses on UD property.
The Office of Career Services provides undergraduate and graduate students with career counseling and career development services, workshops and presentations, and mock interviews.
The Counseling Center provides a wide range of counseling services for adults and adolescents. Areas of specialization include marriage and family, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, self-esteem and self-image, spirituality, life vocations/careers, depression, anxiety, stress and coping skills, and other related concerns.
The University will provide any and all reasonable accommodations to facilitate handicapped applicants, students, employees and guests access to and participation in University programs, events, classes and administrative activities.
Food Services
Students who live in on-campus housing find it easier to get more involved in campus activities than students who live off campus. They have access to nutritious meals and do not have to worry about grocery shopping, cooking or cleanup. Each of the residence halls develops a personality, and many of the residents create lifelong friendships.
The Office of Human Resources helps students (with qualifying conditions under the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act) address accessibility and accommodation issues.
The William A. Blakley Library maintains a collection of printed and non-printed, primary and secondary materials which will support the educational, research, and public service programs of the undergraduate and graduate schools of the University.
The Registrar's Office has information for students regarding registration, enrollment verification, final exam schedule, transcripts, etc.
