For teachers who are interested in pursuing one of these degrees, the University is very fortunate to have the support of the Dallas Institute for Humanities and Culture. The DIHC is a kind of club house for teachers, where they can gather to refresh their love of their discipline and to share with each other some of the war stories that have been part of their effort to maintain the quality of education offered by their schools. The DIHC hosts a Teachers Institute every summer, which consists of two 6 credit hour courses, each offered in alternate summers, in Epic and in Tragedy and Comedy. These courses may both be used toward Braniff Graduate School degrees.
