Information Resource Management College
The University of Dallas Center for Information Assurance has had a long term relationship and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Defense University's (NDU) iCollege. Under the agreement, NDU iCollege graduates may receive from 9 to 15 credit hours toward their MS or MBA degree depending upon the NDU program they have completed.
Information Assurance Scholarship Program
The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have announced the Information Assurance Scholarship Program (IASP) for fiscal year 2012. The IASP program is designed to provide financial assistance and post graduate employment to students in National Centers of Academic Excellence in IA (including UD) who are studying information assurance/information security. Students are encouraged to review this website before deciding to pursue the IASP.
The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education
The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education was created in 1997 to provide a forum for dialogue among leading figures in government, industry, and academia.
The Colloquium's goal is to work together to define current and emerging requirements for information assurance education and to influence and encourage the development and expansion of information assurance curricula, especially at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Colloquium is active throughout the year and holds an annual conference in June. Conference information is available on the Colloquium website.
ISSA North Texas
The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) is dedicated to serving as a knowledge resource to those organizations and professionals who strive to stay abreast of security and data privacy issues as well as best practices to protect both data and people.
The North Texas ISSA Chapter welcomes members and non-members to participate in monthly educational events held every 3rd Thursday of each month at Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant in Plano, TX from 11:30- 1:00.
