The required text for the course will be Chemistry: A Molecular Approach, 3rd ed. by Nivaldo J.Tro, (ISBN: 9780321809247). The lab text is is a special order from Brooks/Cole and will be available for purchase in the University of Dallas Book Store.
Goggles and a laboratory notebook will be provided at no cost.

Class is from 8:45 a.m.-11:45 a.m., Monday through Friday, with a thirty-minute break at 10:00 a.m. Students are divided into two lab sections. There is a pre-lab lecture for all students from 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.; Lab Section 1 is 1:30p.m.-4:00 p.m., and Lab Section 2 is 3:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
Exams will be on each Monday morning from 8:00-10:00 a.m. There will be twelve laboratory experiments each semester, as well as a lab mid-term and final. Various activities and trips are planned for each week on either Friday evening or Saturday.
