The Catholic University for Independent Thinkers
Developed out of the Catholic Biblical School, these classes are open to all adults and focus on various themes throughout the Bible. A more comprehensive and in-depth study of than what may be offered in the Adult Faith Formation program, this program is thirty weeks long, requiring students to meet once a week for two hours. Classes include presentations on background and context, large group discussion, and reference to both historical or biblical commentary and primary sources.
While they may be of particular interest to graduates of the Catholic Biblical School and others with a background in Scripture, history, or ministry, these classes require no prerequisites and are open to everyone.
During the 2013-2014 school year, the School of Ministry will offer New Testament Themes as part of the Biblical Themes Series. This will be taught by Jim McGill, M.A. and will be open to any adult interested in learning about the history, personalities and theology of the New Testament.
