Specifically designed for those who would like to serve as parish catechetical leaders, this program, which combines structured coursework and pastoral skills, culminates with a capstone project. Every student in the Religious Education program takes a set of core courses as well as courses focused specifically on the principles of religious education. These core courses include:
|RPS 6311. Liturgy and Sacraments||RPS 6320. Theological Reflection|
|RPS 6312. Moral Theology||RPS 6321. Old Testament|
|RPS 6313. Systematic Theology||RPS 6322. New Testament|
RPS 6314. Church History

The MRE program also incorporates a mentoring process in which students are paired with professional ministers who provide additional support, encouragement and practical knowledge that augments and extends the classroom experience.
