As an integral part of the mission of the School of Ministry, we pride ourselves on the various collaborative partnerships we have with dioceses and organizations across the nation to provide theological education for transformative service. Some of these partnerships include:
To successfully complete the MPM - Health Care Ministry degree, students must complete a practicum in hospital-based pastoral care, which is available in cooperation with local hospitals whose programs are accredited by the National Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
Along with the CES, we provide the Catholic Biblical School in Spanish in the Dioceses of Knoxville, TN, Brownsville, TX, and Las Cruces, NM.
The courses to fullfill the MPM - Youth Ministry degree are are facilited by the CMD in more than 35 dioceses across the U.S., including here at the University of Dallas, making this degree very accessible from across the nation.
We work closely with the Diocese of Dallas, given that it is the home diocese of the University of Dallas. For example, the undergraduate degree in pastoral ministry was established at the request of Bishop Kevin Farrell, and we provide the annual UD Ministry Conference for the diocese. We also offer various Continuing Education programs in the parishes.
The School of Ministry has a close partnership with the Diocese of Fort Worth, much like that in the Diocese of Dallas. We provide the annual UD Ministry Conference for the diocese and offer various Continuing Education programs in the parishes of Fort Worth.
