The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 scholarship to UD's Lewis McKenzie II (pictured front row, far right), who is pursuing a master's degree in information technology from the College of Business while working as the chief information officer of PSA Constructors, Inc. Eighteen other graduate and undergraduate students focusing on entrepreneurship studies at Texas universities were also awarded scholarships.
"Initially, I was just overwhelmingly thankful. It will definitely reduce some of the financial stresses that go along with obtaining a quality graduate business education," said McKenzie. "Then, I realized how the award also would provide a huge opportunity for me to meet some of Texas's great business leaders during the awards luncheon and gala in Houston."
The foundation annually awards one scholarship at each of the program's current nineteen participating Texas universities.
