The University of Dallas' Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business was welcomed into the CFA Institute University Recognition Program for excellence in preparing students for the investment profession's most rigorous credentialing program, the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. Fewer than one in five candidates who begin the CFA certification program worldwide complete it.
"This recognition means that the MS in Finance at UD is a rigorous and marketable degree," said Jenny Gu, assistant professor in the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. "The knowledge students acquire from this program will prepare them well for careers in the investment field."
In order to earn the CFA Institute's recognition, UD's MS in Finance program was required to incorporate at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and emphasize the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program.
Additionally, UD is eligible to receive a limited number of student scholarships for the CFA Program each year from the CFA Institute.
