The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas together with EarthPeople, a sustainability communications and consulting firm, has announced a series of speakers and events addressing topics of social consciousness and sustainability in business. The series launches with a panel discussion on ways that global corporations, mid-sized companies and retailers are profiting from sustainability on Friday, Dec. 13.
Presenters include Garrett Boone, The Container Store co-founder and chairman emeritus and Treehouse investor; Nathan Joe Loftice, FedEx Office sustainability leader; and Nelly Rocha Andresen, vice president of quality, environment, health and safety and senior corporate counsel for eRecyclingCorps. Panelists will explore how their organizations define sustainability, the processes they use, the outcomes they expect to achieve and the tangible and intangible benefits of their respective sustainability strategies.
UD's Business and Society Network (BSN), a recently established open forum for building relationships, exchanging best practices and fostering dialogue around issues of corporate social responsibility, is organizing the event.
