Campus Ministry is holding its fourth annual Vocations and Post-Graduation Fair on
Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Haggar Foyer. The fair brings students
considering religious life or ministry into contact with a wide variety of religious
orders and ministry groups.
"This is a chance for students to see what opportunities the Church offers after graduation," said UD Campus Minister Scott Chuchla. "Every kind of order — from contemplative Carmelites to charismatic orders — will be attending. In addition, representatives from various long-term service organizations, such as Notre Dame programs Alliance for Catholic Education and Echo, through which students can work for churches and Catholic schools during the year while pursuing a master's degree at Notre Dame during the summer, will be present."
Twenty-seven religious orders and missionary and ministry organizations will attend the fair. Many of the 22 orders attending will remain on campus for a 7 p.m. Holy Hour in the Church of the Incarnation and a question and answer vocations panel beginning at 8:30 p.m. in upstairs Haggar. Students interested in religious life as a vocation are invited to attend the panel.
Last year's event, which brought 16 religious orders to campus, packed Haggar Foyer with interested students.
"As far as I know, it's the only event of its kind in the Metroplex," said Chuchla, who has invited other campus ministry groups in the area to attend.
