Since his arrival in early August, Robert Scherer, the new College of Business dean, has been working closely with college faculty and staff to review operations and identify opportunities for improvement. The review is the first step in preparing for several strategic initiatives designed to meet objectives related to academic programs and contribute to improving operations.
On Wednesday, one of the first major initiatives was announced, a reorganization of college faculty and staff. The new structure organizes the college into four areas: faculty affairs, academic programs, enrollment management and college administration. The reorganization is designed to provide more faculty support, enhance the student experience, provide continued academic improvement and increase the efficiency of college operations.
"It's an exciting time for the College of Business," said Scherer. "We have a great team of faculty and staff and our new organizational structure will allow us to begin moving ahead with other strategic initiatives."
