Lecture to Discuss 2,000 Year Old Sea of Galilee Boat Excavation

The UD Department of Theology invites you to attend "The Sea of Galilee Boat" presented by Shelley Wachsmann, the Meadows Professor of Biblical Archaeology and Coordinator of the Nautical Archaeology program at Texas A&M University. During his tenure as the Inspector for Underwater Antiquities for the Israel Department of Antiquities and Museums, he was directly responsible for excavating a 2,000-year-old boat found in the Sea of Galilee. In addition to recounting the adventure of the boat's discovery and daring excavation, Wachsmann will address what this amazing discovery reveals about the life and times of Jesus.

Professor Wachsmann's book, "The Sea of Galilee Boat," will be available for sale at the lecture.
