The New York Times is appealing to college students throughout the United States for help collecting photos for a story on far-flung students. With more than half of UD's undergraduate body coming from outside the state of Texas and graduate students from as far away as India and Nepal, UD students fit the bill for the photo feature on adjusting to college life in far-away lands.
"We certainly like to take advantage of every opportunity to showcase the high caliber of students enrolled at UD," said Bill Hartley, director of marketing and communications. "A photo in The New York Times would not only be memorable for a student, but it would also provide the university with significant exposure on a national scale."
The story will run in Education Life, a special section on all facets of higher education that appears quarterly in America's most well-known newspaper. Students are encouraged to submit photos to The New York Times by July 8 at www.nytimes.com (search "far-flung students"). Education Life will be published on Aug. 4.
