Face-painting, cookie decorating, a bounce house, light refreshments and, of course, an Easter egg hunt are only a few of the many activities that make the university's annual Easter event one of the year's most popular among alumni. On Saturday, March 30, 350 alumni, faculty, staff and their children are expected to gather on the lawn beside Carpenter Hall to celebrate Easter from 3-5 p.m.
"There are already 200 registered for the event, which is more than twice the number we had last year," said Leah Looten, alumni relations officer. "We encourage those who will be joining us to register by Thursday, March 28. That will help ensure enough Easter eggs for all the kids."
Easter egg hunts will be divided into the following age groups: 1-3, 4-6 and 7-10 years old. The Office of Alumni Relations asks parents to provide an Easter basket for each participating child. In case of bad weather, hunts and activities will be moved to the Haggar University Center foyer.
