Human Resources will host a presentation "Securing Social Security" by Jim Almond, CFPO, on Wednesday, March 6, from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Haggar Board Room.
"Securing Social Security" will walk you through common, but surprisingly complex, situations including:
• How being married, divorced or widowed impacts your benefits.
• How to give your Social Security check a government-guaranteed boost.
• How benefits for one spouse are affected based on when and how the other spouse
files.
This presentation will educate you on the many decisions involved in claiming Social Security, as well as their consequences, and provide strategies to maximize the benefits received.
