Six UD Spanish students are in the final days of their month-long immersion program with the Universidad Católica de Avila (UCAV). These students have been taking classes ranging from second year Spanish language to culture and literature. Some are studying Spanish mysticism through the literature of former Avila residents Saint Teresa of Avila and Saint John of the Cross.
"All students have been staying with Spanish families. It's a total immersion experience," said Jose Espericueta, assistant professor of Spanish.
UD has been sending students to UCAV for about 10 years.
