Larisa Chavez, a native of Houston, Texas, graduated from the University of Dallas in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in art history and a concentration in Spanish. As a Development Associate, Larisa builds relationships with UD alumni and parents to advance the future of the university. She also works to promote the Haggerty Art Village and gallery space for students, alumni and visitors.
Prior to returning to UD to work, Larisa interned at the Vatican Museums' Patrons of the Arts office in Rome, Italy, where she was involved in fundraising efforts for the Museums and served as liaison to visiting benefactors. Once back in the U.S., Larisa worked with the Southern Methodist University Meadows Museum Curatorial Department to complete an exhibit by Spanish impressionist Joaquin Sorolla.
Larisa is an active volunteer at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas, and a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, also in Dallas.
