Joseph Howe is one part of the dynamic Alumni Relations duo at the University of Dallas. While his accent betrays a Californian ancestral heritage, his vocabulary and history were developed in Lubbock, Texas. He witnessed two things that made his decision to come to UD, first, a solid campaign from admissions and, second, an inspired eight in the morning lecture from Fritz Wilhelmsen. While at UD, he worked in the Residence Hall Association and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English having passed his comps with distinction, passed on many a cautionary tale, and won the funniest student award. After graduation in 2000, Joe’s work in higher education gave him a tremendous appreciation for good rhetoric and clear composition. He earned two masters in these subjects, one in English and another in Technical Communication and Rhetoric, from Texas Tech University, and has applied these lessons to everything from dissertations to domestic violence shelters. Joe has been happily working to support the UD alumni community since March of 2011.
