Increasing awareness by building stronger social communities.

Not only does the Office of Marketing & Communications manage and monitor the university’s primary institutional social media accounts, but we also set the overarching strategy for all other social channels maintained on behalf of offices, services, departments, colleges and schools. We are chiefly responsible for creating and enforcing the university’s social media policy, which helps strengthen and solidify our social media presence.

More specifically, from a social media our office is responsible for:

  • Keeping current and prospective students, alumni, faculty, staff and other constituents engaged
  • Broadcasting and sharing university news, events and announcements
  • Generating, monitoring and measuring social content that helps drive enrollment and fundraising
  • Educating campus social media managers about guidelines, best practices and emerging trends.

We use Zapier to help automate and organize our daily workloads –  from planning website content to scheduling posts on social media, it's all about maximizing productivity.
