Some work requests require prior authorization before we can complete them.
Students, student groups, campus clubs, & organizations will need authorization from the staff official or university office that is sponsoring (financially & physically responsible for liability) the event before a work request will be completed.
Facilities staff will challenge any requests received that appear to not have prior authorization. Use of Facilities department equipment and services is reserved for university approved events; late or last minute requests might not be completed unless authorization (and a work request) has been confirmed beforehand.
Requests for keys to be cut, & lock changes should be approved by the department manager

It is a misconception that Facilities department maintains a community tool box. Tools are issued to individual craftspersons and each craftsperson needs their issued tools to perform their jobs. Though not encouraged, Facilities Crafts Supervisors may grant the use of Facilities department tools or equipment for a short period of time. If the borrowed tools or equipment are not returned, or if they are returned damaged, the responsible department or individual will be charged for the replacement of the tools or equipment.
Facilities has one campus long term storage location: International South (located south of the College of Business Administration building). If your department has items that require long term storage , we ask that you please submit a work request, & a long term Storage Request Form. Remember that Facilities does not have room to store your electronic e-waste items between e-waste recycling days.
You must have approval from the Executive Vice President, or the Associate Vice President of Administration and be placed on the University's insured drivers list in order to borrow /operate a Facilities department vehicle.
