ALL CURRENT IRVING RESIDENTS must complete this very brief online "HOUSING VERIFICATION FORM".
If you wish to remain in your current location, this is the ONLY housing form that you need to complete.
Irving residents who otherwise wish to make any changes must read the additional information below after completion of the above "Housing Verification Form" .

If you are a current campus resident and WISH TO MOVE to another location in the Spring...
FRESHMEN: If you intend to remain on campus, but wish to move to another freshman hall or change roommates, you must complete and submit a "Room Change Request Form". Complete the entire top portion of the form and then submit to the Office of Student Life. Form completion includes obtaining your current roommate's signature and if applicable, your proposed new roommate's signature. Form submissions do not automatically guarantee reassignment. While early submissions will be accepted in the Office of Student Life, they will be held for processing during housing registration week. You will be notified after housing registration week of the results of your request by email.

UPPERCLASSMEN: If you intend to remain on campus, but wish to move to another location within 'The
New Hall' or student apartments (as a current apartment resident) or change roommates,
you must complete and submit a "Room Change Request Form". Complete the entire top portion of the form and then submit to the Office of Student
Life. Form completion includes obtaining your current roommate's signature and if
applicable, your proposed new roommate's signature. Form submissions do not automatically
guarantee reassignment. While early submissions will be accepted in the Office of
Student Life, they will be held for processing during housing registration week. You
will be notified after housing registration week of the results of your request by
email.
If you wish to room with a returning Romer, please give their name on any form that
you submit. In turn, they must make the same request using their own online request
form. Only mutual requests will be considered.
Spring Romers: If you have been formally accepted into the spring Rome program, you do NOT need to complete any form other than the above "Housing Verification Form". However, if you are on the 'wait' list for Rome, be sure to also indicate your backup housing plan on this same form in the event that you may remain in Irving.

IF, as a current Irving campus resident, you DO qualify for for official 'Commuter Status' [age 21 before the start of the spring semester; senior standing (90 credit hours); married; veteran; or commuter living with parents locally], for the spring and you choose to break your housing contract, you MUST submit this online "Commuter Form" marking all appropriate boxes. Residents who qualify mid-year for official 'Commuter Status' are not automatically removed from campus housing. Housing contracts are by the academic year and not by semester. You will still qualify for return of your housing deposit as long as your completed form is submitted online prior to December 1, 2012.
Those who do NOT qualify for official 'commuter' status but wish to live off-campus will generally fall into
one of the below categories.
• FINANCIAL – Undergraduates with financial concerns about the cost of living on campus must
contact the Financial Aid Office. The Office of Student Life is not responsible for
releasing students from the residency requirement due to financial issues. The Financial
Aid Office may be contacted via email HERE or by phone call to 972.721.5266.
• MEDICAL – An email may be sent to Denise Phillips, Interim Dean of Student Life HERE outlining the general details of any medical issues creating a need that cannot be
met by living on campus. Be prepared to also submit medical documentation which supports
the request based upon medical necessity.
• PERSONAL – "I want to live with my friends across the street" does not automatically qualify
anyone for official 'commuter' status. Students who make these types of statements
still fall under the mandatory residency requirement without exception and will continue
to be billed accordingly for on-campus housing for the remainder of the academic year
while enrolled as a full-time undergraduate.
