Student Orientations

Upon first arrival at the university, new F-1 students are encouraged to visit the International Student Services Office and Welcome Center in Braniff opposite the library entrance to meet the International Student Advisors, pick up information on Irving, DFW attractions, ethnic grocery stores, places of worship, etc.

For each of the programs at the university, the International Office schedules a separate regulatory/informational orientation for F-1 students who are new to the University of Dallas.

Topics to be covered include:Attendance at your scheduled orientation is required.  Students are to bring their passports, and their I-20's.  Students should be prepared to provide their local address and the name and phone number of who should be contacted in case of an emergency.

• Understanding F-1 Regulations
• Employment Opportunities For F1 Students
• Utilizing Health Insurance
• Getting Around in Irving - DART, cars, buses, etc

  • New graduate liberal arts students (Braniff and School of Ministry) - Contact the International Student Services Office, 972-721-5059 for date, time and location
