Haggerty Teaching Excellence Awards

The University of Dallas will once again present the Haggerty Teaching Excellence Award. This year, the awards will be presented in conjunction with the King/Haggar Awards on January 20, 2015. The awards recognize great teaching – a hallmark of the university; and the students and alumni of UD, will determine who will become the recipients. Voting for the awards is taking place currently and ends on November 16 at midnight.

Four to five awards of $5,000 will be presented. At least two awards will go to faculty who teach undergraduates, one to a faculty member who teaches Graduate School of Management students, and one to a faculty member who teaches Braniff or School of Ministry students.

The Haggerty family has had a long and generous history with the University, with both the Science Center and the Arts Village as a display of their generosity. Pat Haggerty, Jr., is an alumnus of Constantin (’62) and of the College of Business/GSM (’73). He is also a member of the Board of Trustees, and he and the Foundation are continuing the family’s legacy of stewardship with this gift.

Vote for your favorite professor here!
