Yellow Ribbon Program

The Yellow Ribbon Program is a partnership between University of Dallas and Department of Veteran Affairs to supplement the tuition benefits of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, also known as Chapter 33. The Yellow Ribbon Program allows institutions of higher learning to enter into a voluntary agreement with the VA to contribute funds to a veteran's unmet tuition and fee charges when they exceed the amount payable under Chapter 33. The program allows institutions to contribute an amount up to 50 percent of a veteran's unmet costs where the VA will match the amount.

To be eligible for a Yellow Ribbon Scholarship, you must:

We strongly encourage students wishing to use Yellow Ribbon funds to apply for VA benefits well before the semester begins, as it may take 4-6 weeks for the VA to process your application. We are not responsible for processing or mail delays. We cannot approve you for Yellow Ribbon funds without your eligibility paperwork from the VA. If you choose to register for classes prior to finalizing your paperwork, you may personally be responsible for tuition balances and any late fees on your account.
