Career Services is holding its Spring Semester Career Services Week next week, Feb. 18-22. At least a dozen companies will have tables in the Haggar lobby to talk with students about internships, part-time and full-time jobs. They will answer questions about various types of positions, qualifications and applications, and they will accept resumes from students as well. Some of the employers include Fox News, GE Capital, Americorps, Essilor, NCH, the National Center for Policy Analysis, MADD, Boy Scouts of America and CCC of America. Career Services continues to work with employers and to showcase the powerful UD brand. We are seeing an increasing number of employer on-campus workshops, interviewing opportunities and requests for interns. Career Services oversees both elective and business internships, and this fall, 26 students have registered for such internships. The real-world learning and networking from internships is invaluable and we strongly advise students to consider internships for their summer jobs. Our role is to help them find such opportunities and create professional resumes, cover letters and interviewing skills to give them a competitive edge.
