Each semester, students have the opportunity to participate in a weekend- long retreat held off campus. This past weekend, February 14-16, 2014, was the women's retreat, which was organized and led by the Sisters of Mercy. The three days were spent in silent reflection and prayer, and the girls were able to attend daily mass, confession, and perpetual adoration. There were also talks on prayer and vocations, as well as the chance for spiritual direction with the Sisters and priests.
It's also worth mentioning that the retreat was held at the Casa Divin Maestro, a center overlooking Lake Albano, with views of Castel Gandolfo and even the dome of St. Peter's in the distance. Not only was this a beautiful and quiet place to spend the weekend, but it is also the retreat center where Pope Francis will hold the Lenten Retreat for the Roman Curia later this Spring!
