Arete Participants Arrive on Irving Campus

On Sunday, July 9 the University of Dallas Rome & Summer Programs Office welcomed participants on the Arete high school summer programs to campus to begin two weeks of intellectual study. Participants enroll in either the Intro to the Classics or the American Studies program and study works from the university's core curriculum.

On their first day on campus students settled in to their rooms and participated in some fun ice-breaker activities to get to know each other. They went on a campus tour and finished off the evening with dinner in the cafe and a viewing and discussion of the film The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence

Fall 2017 Romers concluded their first full week in Italy with a visit to the Castelli Romani where students toured the small towns of Ariccia, Monte Cavo and Castel Gandolfo. Upon arriving back to campus they were treated to a wine tasting hosted by Msgr. Fucinaro.

The students awoke bright and early on August 20 to begin their first full day in Rome. They visited St. Peter's Basilica and attended mass and then were led on walking tours around the city by the UD Rome Campus faculty and staff.
