The Rome Campus Spirit Award

Each semester, student life on the University of Dallas Rome campus revolves around academics, social interaction, and religious life. Thus, over the course of the semester, students strive to balance study, travel, socializing, and praying.

Some students are able to balance these three aspects of campus life with unique enthusiasm, and it is this spirit of excitement, as well as a willingness to contribute academically, socially, and religiously to community life, that the Student Life Staff acknowledges each semester with the Rome Spirit Award.

On Thursday 8 May, as part of the UD Rome Convocation Ceremonies, Rome Coordinator Ryan Reedy presented this semester's Spirit Award to Joey Pustejovsky, praising his contributions to campus life with the following words:

[Joey] energetically and wholeheartedly contributed to every element of the Rome semester from the very beginning. He is known for his constant energy and for his sense of humor. His outgoing nature, his pleasantness, and his enthusiasm have been enjoyed by students, faculty, and staff throughout the busy semester. He participated in the Dead Theologian's Society, volunteered at the Vatican soup kitchen, read at mass, and attended the men's retreat. His singing voice was as excellent during the talent show as it was during his stellar performance as Pseudolus in this semester's student play. He worked as hard playing goalie in the soccer tournament as he did on his studies this difficult academic term. And so we are very pleased to recognize Mr. Joseph Pustejovsky as the winner of this semester's Spirit Award!

Congratulations Joey!
