A Prayer of Dependence
Chaplain, Fr. Thomas More Barba, O.P. wrote a prayer that underscores God’s sovereignty and calls each of us to find the source and culmination of our work together in God’s will. We would like to continue this practice and urge every member of the UD community to pray that God’s will be done through and among us.
A Prayer of Dependence
O God, You who govern all things and without whom we can do nothing,
We beg you to look with favor on our university,
and pour out upon us the spirit of your wisdom
So that our labors might conform to your plans.
Give us the grace to recognize our dependence on you
That we might build on a foundation that stands the test of time,
and may our faith and confidence in your providence
be manifest in all our thoughts and deeds.
Amen.
