Hometown: Walnut Creek, CA
Alma Mater: University of Dallas 2020
Degree: B.A. Economics
Why I love UD/Why I Recruit for UD: UD really embodies the liberal arts and Catholic identity. Everyone who is a part
of the UD community is involved in their own passionate search for the true, the good,
and the beautiful, no matter what their vocation in life.
Favorite Spot on Campus: My favorite spot on campus is the cap bar because I can always run into friends and
professors and get a delicious cup of coffee.
Where Do You Hang Out in Dallas? Dallas has so many unique areas, but Deep Ellum is probably my favorite. Each block,
each street has something new to offer and you’re never really sure what you’re going
to find. There are music venues, candy stores, restaurants - what more can you ask
Favorite Book: My favorite books are Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, Anne of Green Gables by L.M.
Montgomery, and Emma by Jane Austen.
Favorite Place to Eat in DFW: I don’t eat out a lot, but when I do I’m willing to travel quite a ways for good food.
Depending on what I’m craving, I’ll travel all across DFW: Cane Rosso in Dallas for
pizza, Hutchins BBQ in McKinney, Twisted Root in Deep Ellum for hamburgers, Hanabi
Ramen in Denton, and PJ’s in Irving for brunch.
Favorite UD Event: My favorite event is probably Groundhog. The celebration, though only scheduled for
Saturday, spills over into the week before as excitement builds. It’s my favorite
time to reconnect with old classmates and meet new people as we all gather to celebrate
the most ridiculous and most treasured of holidays at UD.
Favorite/Coolest Place I have Visited: My favorite place I have visited is Prague, Czech Republic. It was a magical place
with such rich food and history. We toured the Prague Castle while there and happened
upon an Easter market where I got to try my first trdelnik (or chimney cake) which
was heavenly. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Advice to Prospective Students: I think the most important thing I would say is take a tour and visit the campus.
When I visited campus during Odyssey Day my senior year of high school, I immediately
knew that UD was going to be my home and being able to talk to current students only
