EnCore Lecture: Hildegard of Bingen and Tuning the Soul to God

Hildegard of Bingen was a Benedictine Abbess in the 12th century. Her music shows how the macro-cosmos—thewhole of the universe, the stars, the planets—is in harmony with the micro-cosmos—the harmony that is the human body and soul. Our job as Christians is to “tune our souls” to the harmony of the cosmos, to the unity of God’s will.  Join Associate Professor of Modern Languages, Jacob-Ivan Eidt, Ph.D. for a discussion on harmony of the soul.
