Ms. Minch is Director of Institutional Development for Wiley where she works with
firms, societies, associations and universities to create customized learning and
professional development programs. She specializes in helping those institutions enhance
employee programs and enrich student curriculum.
She serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Dallas for the Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business Graduate Program where she teaches several graduate level finance courses. The University of Dallas’ respected national reputation, challenging practiced-based curriculum designed for working professionals and its distinguished accreditations by the AACSB and SACS garnered the Dallas MBA recognition among the state’s most elite programs. Furthermore, she recently became a member of the MS Finance Steering Committee for the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.
Ms. Minch is also a member of the CFA® Institute and volunteers with the local DFW/CFA® Society. She currently serves as Vice President and is actively involved with the CFA® Employer Outreach Program, CFA® Branding Campaign, University Relations Committee and Women in Investment Management (WIM) Initiative. She is also a Board member of the CFA Societies of Texas which combines the resources of the Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio CFA society chapters to serve our underlying membership through communication, administration and collaboration. CFA® Institute is a global community of investment professionals with over 164,000 members in 163 countries.
In addition, Ms. Minch is a member to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) where she currently serves a Co-Chair of the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Planning Committee. She recently concluded a 3-year term as an advisor on the Investments Committee. The American Institute of CPAs is the world’s largest member association representing the accounting profession, with more than 418,000 members in 143 countries. AICPA members represent many areas of practice, including business and industry, public practice, government, education and consulting and has a history of serving the public interest since 1887.
Most recently, she spent 8.5 years as CFO for a large family office located in Dallas, TX that exists to enhance the financial, civic and philanthropic interests of the Kenneth A. Hersh family. She managed the financial reporting, tax reporting, estate planning, compliance, accounting and various other finance and administrative functions. Prior to that position, she spent many years in various roles within the finance and accounting industries. She started her professional career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen and then moved into strategic planning and finance at Greystone Communities. She spent a few years in Charlotte, NC where she performed various financial roles for small firms before moving back to Dallas, TX and starting her position at Hersh Family Investments.
Ms. Minch graduated, with honors, and received her B.B.A in Accounting and M.S. in Financial Management from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (Texas), and the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) credential.
Outside her professional responsibilities, she enjoys fitness, outdoor activities and sports. She has a passion for jogging, hiking and tennis. She is an avid traveler and visited over 40 U.S. states and over 27 foreign countries.
