Beldona Appointed as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs

Sri BeldonaThe University of Dallas' Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business has announced the appointment of Sri Beldona, Ph.D. to associate dean of academic affairs.

Prior to joining the college’s faculty in 2000, Beldona worked as vice president of strategic planning at Marketing Management, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas.

He returns to the post of associate dean, having previously served in the position from 2010-2012. In this role, Beldona will lead the formation of international and domestic partnerships with other universities and corporations. He will also help lead the Gupta College of Business’ continued accreditation and facilitate curriculum changes to keep the college’s programs at the forefront of today’s quickly changing business landscape.

"Sri’s willingness to once again step up to lead in this role is truly indicative of the passion he has for this university," said Gupta College of Business Dean Brett J.L. Landry. "His years of experience will provide invaluable knowledge for us as we continue to grow and innovate in the Gupta College of Business."

An active researcher, Beldona has published numerous articles on branding, consumer behavior and global business. His work has included studies of the effect of country associations on a brand's personality and the impact of population growth on human development index. Beldona has taught on multiple continents and brings unparalleled global experience to his classes.

Beldona received his doctorate in business administration from Temple University, where he concentrated in international business and strategic management. His areas of expertise include product and brand management, consumer behavior, international marketing and business analytics.

Alumni Physicians Connect with Students Through Skype Panel

Back in October, five University of Dallas alumni physicians held a Skype Question & Answer panel for UD undergraduates aspiring to enter health care professions. Hosted by the Biology Department, the panel provided the opportunity for current students who plan to work in health care to see how other UD graduates have used their liberal arts education to pursue such a path.
