The University of Dallas announced today a partnership between the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business and Educational and Cultural Interactions, Inc (ECI). The partnership, through ECI's Intensive English Language Program, will enable the college to offer prospective international graduate students an alternative to language proficiency exams, and adds to initiatives the college has already launched to equip students with the necessary tools to succeed. ECI will be teaching their classes at the University of Dallas Irving campus.

Most universities, including the University of Dallas, require international students to submit English language proficiency exams as a requirement for admission. An essential part of Gupta College's admissions approach, however, is evaluating students based on their experiences and proven accomplishments. Striving to meet the needs of all students, the admissions process does not consider test scores to be the only indicator of potential success or mastery.

"ECI's English language curriculum, built over two decades, has extended beyond academic training and into preparing students for American social and cultural situations," said Gupta College of Business Dean Brett J. L. Landry. "This strong preparation allows students to demonstrate mastery and to be prepared for the academic challenges of successfully completing a university degree."

"ECI stands for quality education and integration; we advocate for embracing international students and the enrichment their experiences provide to us all. We are proud to partner with University of Dallas, a renowned university that models these same values, and are excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring," said ECI President Olga Aceska.

Prospective Gupta College of Business graduate students who meet all admission requirements other than proof of English proficiency are eligible to enroll in ECI's Intensive English Language Program. Accredited by the Commission on English Language Accreditation (CEA) and the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), the program will have monthly starting dates throughout the year.
