Randy and Judy PaulsonA generous gift from alumnus Randy Paulson, MBA ’81, and his wife Judy will support the addition of new technology in the newly named Paulson Financial Markets Lab. Known for his tremendous work ethic and desire to learn, Randy hopes that the addition of this technology will equip future business students to explore their interests and learn more about finance and investing.

“The experience I got from the MBA program was unbelievable. It was very hands on,” recalls Randy. “This research lab will give future students the ability to apply strategic thinking to how businesses are run in order to make investing decisions.”

Throughout his MBA, Randy challenged himself to think beyond the classroom. After graduating from the University of Dallas in 1981, he continued his career in real estate management. By 1988, Randy was running the largest real estate management organization in the United States, managing over 6,000 employees. In the 1990s, Randy’s leadership experience included the role of president and CEO of five publicly traded multifamily and office real estate investment trusts.

Then, in 2002, he transitioned to his current role of chief operating officer at Professional Apartment Services (PAS), where the company has seen 800 percent sales growth under his leadership. The devoted partnership and teamwork of Randy’s wife, Judy, have played integral roles in his success. His accomplishments were made possible due to her unwavering support of, and dedication to, Randy and their three girls, Teri, Kristen and Ashley.

The desire for future generations of University of Dallas students to gain practical, hands-on experience led Randy and Judy to generously support the Paulson Financial Markets Lab.
