UD Announces Partnership with the India Association of North Texas

Gupta College of Business to Offer Educational Opportunities for Members

Gupta College The University of Dallas announced a partnership between the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business and the India Association of North Texas (IANT). The new partnership aims to further the Gupta College of Business' mission to prepare students in a wide variety of management specialties, serving a range of industries.

"IANT's commitment to empowering Indian business professionals to achieve their full potential aligns with our mission to prepare our students to become principled and moral leaders," said Gupta College of Business Dean Brett J. L. Landry. "This partnership is a natural fit, and we look forward to welcoming IANT's members into our classrooms."

Through this partnership, IANT lifetime members will be eligible for special tuition benefits when they enroll at the University of Dallas. Benefits can be applied to undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs in the Gupta College of Business' Center for Executive Education.

"IANT is pleased to partner with the University of Dallas," said Kamal Kaushal, IANT president. "We look forward to creating awareness within our community of business professionals and helping prospective students to benefit from this opportunity for academic success."

IANT joins other university partners, including Southwest Airlines, Kroger, Michaels, Prospanica and CHRISTUS Health.

"We are proud to partner with an organization dedicated to furthering the educational goals of their members," said University of Dallas Corporate Relations and Partnerships Manager Rebecca Almanza. "Through our partnership, the Gupta College of Business will support IANT's members in their pursuit of higher education."

Recent DBA Alumnus Begins Tenure-Track Position at UNI

Gabe Dickey, DBA '19, recently successfully defended his dissertation, titled "Exploring the Human Side of Audit Quality: Team Engagement and Partner Leadership Behaviors," for UD's Doctor of Business Administration. Dickey has spent his career in the accounting profession, the vast majority as a certified public accountant working in auditing. He began UD's DBA program three years ago, drawn in by his interest in broader business issues and the program's practitioner-oriented focus.

Longtime Campus Safety Officer Sworn In to UDPD

Carlos Tijerina came to UD as a Campus Safety officer 23 years ago. He has loved the camaraderie of the CSO, but it has always been his dream to become a police officer. Then, a little over a year ago, UD finally got a police department. On Sept. 10, Tijerina was sworn in by President Thomas Hibbs as an official part of the UDPD team.
