Meet Your Instructor

Jim Price, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CDE, PMP.  Jim is part of the Human Resources team for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, one of the regional banks which is part of the Federal Reserve System - the central bank of the United States.  In his newly created role, he helps to shape HR strategy and advise senior leadership in support of the Bank’s mission.  Prior to joining The Fed, Jim was a Senior Vice President in Human Resources at Citi. His primary work involved HR advisory partnerships with executives responsible for Global Operations Strategy, Consumer Learning, Consumer Location & Supplier Strategy, and Global Citi Service Centers, while also providing HR oversight for 47,000 employees across 37 North American sites. Before that, Jim was a Human Resources Director at The M/A/R/C Group, a member of the Omnicom Group. Currently, he also serves as President of The Price Group LLC and as an Adjunct Faculty member in the University of Dallas Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business, where he has taught courses in Leadership, Management, Human Resources, Professional Development, and helped launch the Executive Education PMP program. 

 Jim holds an MBA and a graduate certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Dallas and is certified as both a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Credentialing Institute and a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional, a Certified Diversity Executive by the Institute for Diversity Certification, and as a Professional in Project Management by the Project Management Institute. Among other experiences, Jim is also a graduate of civic programs such as Leadership Denton. In addition to frequently working with community and diversity organizations, Jim has presented at numerous leadership and diversity conferences. Jim's core expertise includes all aspects of Human Resources/Human Capital Management, Project Management, Organizational Behavior and Development, Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership Training, Executive Coaching, and Career Guidance. When not working, teaching, or learning, Jim is a fine art mosaicist and can usually be found in the studio with his English cocker spaniel and a pile of smalti.

Payment Arrangement

For students who need a little help, we have a payment arrangement option available. This allows tuition to be broken down into multiple payments. Executive Education students who wish to participate will be required to fill out an additional online form during the registration process.

The payment arrangement splits tuition as follows:

  • Payment 1: $700
  • Payment 2: $700
  • Payment 3: $700
  • Payment 4: $400 

If a discount applies to you it will be deducted as part of the final payment.

Included in your course registration fees, you will receive the most current edition of The Learning System for PMP® Exam Preparation. Along with over six-hundred pages of instruction, this program provides:

  • an in-depth exploration of the five knowledge domains tested on the exam;
  • a glossary of key terminology with official PMI definitions; and
  • access to interactive online study tools — including quizzes, flashcards and an exam resource center — for one year.

PMP Education and Experience Requirements

All prerequisites in one of the following two categories (A or B) must be met to apply for the exam:

  General Education Project Management Experience Project Management Education
Category A Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent) Minimum of five (5) years of non-overlapping project management experience, with  7,500 hours leading and directing projects 35 hours of project management education
(at least 92% attendance in PMP certification review course would satisfy requirement)
Category B A four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent) Minimum of three (3) years of non-overlapping project management experience, with 4,500 35 hours of project management education
(at least 92% attendance in PMP certification review course would satisfy requirement)

CAPM Education and Experience Requirements

Prerequisites for CAPM exam:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 1,500 hours of project experience

OR

  • 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam.
