The Certified Corporate FP&A Professional Exam Details

The Certified Corporate FP&A Professional credential is earned by passing a separate certification exam.

The exam is a computer-based exam consisting of two parts:


  • Domain A: Gathering and Interpreting Information (40% of Exam Part I)
  • Domain B: Understanding Financial Concepts and Communicating/Coordinating Work with Other Professionals (60% of Exam Part I)


  • Domain A: Analyzing Information (35% of Exam Part II)
  • Domain B: Building Financial Projections (35% of Exam Part II)
  • Domain C: Using Technology/Software (30% of Exam Part II)

Candidates for the Certified Corporate FP&A Professional credential must complete the FP&A program requirements (education, experience and examination) within five years from enrollment into the program.

The AFP FP&A Learning System™ is not a substitute for the certification examination. If you wish to take the Certified Corporate FP&A Professional exam, you must submit separate application forms with exam fee through AFP.
