Campus Gateways

University Gateways

Just as Braniff Memorial Tower has for decades attracted the attention of all those who pass by, so does the new gateways situated at five campus entrances. Each of the new entries takes advantage of recently expanded thoroughfares on the north, south and east sides of campus by clearly defining the campus perimeter to create a distinct visual boundary.

The collection of gateways has been designed to mimic the feel of existing campus structures, which, for the most part, are unassuming and unadorned, yet elegant. Each incorporates masonry pillars constructed of a light-colored brick similar to that which faces many of the buildings that line Braniff Mall, as well as natural milsap stone planting beds filled with native shrubs and flowering annuals. Most feature copper accents and distinctive monument signage.
