This scholarship was established by the Student Foundation following the tragic death of Jake Addison in Rome in the fall of 1997 to honor his legacy. The Jake Scott Addison Memorial Scholarship provides a one-time award of $500, one to a student going to Rome in the fall and one to a student going in the spring. The Joe and Ida Beyer Scholarship Fund, established in 1982 by Dr. Lawrence A. Beyer in memory of his parents, is an endowed scholarship for undergraduate students at the University of Dallas, Irving, Texas. First priority shall be given to students from Moulton, TX or Lavaca County, TX. If no students at UD are currently enrolled from those areas, the scholarship may be given to other students who demonstrate financial need.
