The Marketing & Communications Department is a full-service, in-house marketing and communications resource charged with promoting the university’s brand identity by providing professional strategic communication and marketing support

 

Strategic Marketing

 Thoughtfully planned communication strategies and tactics are critical to successfully maintaining the university’s brand. The Marketing & Communications team plays an integral role in developing strategic communication plans and creating marketing and advertising campaigns that engage our audiences by telling the UD story.

Creative Services

With few exceptions, the university expects all projects that communicate with any external audience – whether digital or print –to be managed by Marketing & Communications Department. This includes, but is not limited to, mass email campaigns, print collateral and video, as well as web and print advertisements.

News & Information

The Marketing & Communications Department works to enhance the reputation, visibility and understanding of the university by collaborating with campus units to publicize news and major events to local, regional and national news outlets. We also administer a student hometown news program and are responsible for Today@UD, the university's internal e-newsletter.

Social Communities

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr and YouTube, among others, are social channels through which members of the UD community can connect with each other and the general public. The Marketing & Communications team maintains official pages on several social media networks and is a resource for online communities hosted by various campus units.

 Digital Communications

The Marketing & Communications Department maintains responsibility for the overall design, content and organization of official websites to ensure message and branding consistency across campus units. Other digital communication tools range from mass e-mail services and fully optimized web landing pages and micro sites to content management system and web analytics training.

UD Earns Recognition Among America's Best Liberal Arts Colleges

The University of Dallas has been recognized in the 2017-18 Colleges of Distinction Guidebook for the eighth consecutive year among nearly 400 of America's best liberal arts institutions. The annual college guidebook featured the university for having one of the nation's most vibrant college communities and named UD as one of three Catholic Colleges of Distinction in Texas.

Endowment Honors Father, Helps Students Go to Rome

Charles T. Uhl, who worked in UD's IT Department, sent four of his five children to UD and to Rome. When their father passed away, the Uhl children, along with their mother, Nancy, set up a scholarship fund in his name to enable more students to be able to afford Rome each semester.

Iraqi Couple Will Use UD Education to Enrich, Preserve Culture

They came here so that someday, they can go back with even more to offer. Sana Kandalan, MA '19, and Anmar Oghanna, MBA '19, a wife and husband, both received scholarships to pursue graduate education at UD; they hope to use their degrees and experiences here to better serve their community back home in Erbil.
