Motor Vehicle Theft
A Campus Safety Officer observed a maintenance cart being driven through the woods. When the officer attempted to make contact the operator of the cart abandoned the vehicle and fled into the wooded area behind the maintenance building. Upon investigation the officer found the lock and chain to the maintenance yard rear gate had been cut.

The Campus Safety Office received an automatic fire alarm for the Catherine residence hall. A Campus Safety Officer responded while the Campus Safety dispatcher called the Irving Fire Department. It was determined that the alarm was caused by someone discharging a fire extinguisher in the building. The Irving Fire Department cleared campus after the alarm was reset.
