Constantin First-Generation Scholarship

Supporting First-Generation College Students

Qualifications:

  1. Applicants must be current, full-time undergraduate University of Dallas students.
  2. Applicants must be eligible for a Pell Grant for the 2021-22 aid year.
  3. Applicants must be first-generation college students; defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor's degree.
  4. Applicants must have either been born in Texas or be current Texas residents.

Requirements:

  1. Within the application below, students must submit a piece on the following topic:

Once you have read each section describing UD small groups, please answer the following two-part question: What do you wish other people knew about your experience as a first-generation college student and in what ways do you believe participating in UD's Small Groups might benefit you? 

Submissions can take any one of the forms listed below.
a. Short essay of 1-2 pages (350-750 words)
b. Video (3-5 minutes)
c. Work of art of any medium; visual*, audio**, or written
*For visual art pieces, submit 1-2 photographs and a short artist's statement about the piece.
**Audio pieces should not exceed 5 minutes.

2. If selected, the student must be an active participant in UD's Small Groups in the Spring of 2022. 

Deadline:

Applications must be received by midnight on November 5, 2021. 

Note: Eligible students who submit this application will also be reviewed for endowment scholarships. Students submitting this application may submit an application for Endowment Scholarships for Spring but it is not required to be considered.

UD Announces Last Crowley Chamber Trio Concert of the Season

The last Crowley Chamber Trio concert of the season will be on Dec. 6 and Dec. 7 at the Museum of Biblical Art at 7:30 p.m.

The Crowley Chamber Trio is composed of University of Dallas faculty members Kristin Van Cleve, violin; Marie-Thaïs Oliver, cello; and Andrey Ponochevny, piano.
